Hebrew needs a bigger model than English — the first run downloads roughly 250 MB, then caches it.
Usable for clear Hebrew speech, and genuinely private. But Hebrew is harder than English for every speech model, and a browser-sized one shows it: expect mistakes on names, on numbers, and wherever two people talk over each other.
Measurably. On the same Hebrew clip this page's model got 13.7% of words wrong; Kika's own transcription got 3.9%, and was the only one we tested that kept both the numbers and the nouns intact. It runs server-side and costs us per minute, which is the honest reason a free anonymous page cannot use it — we published the whole benchmark.
Israeli work calls switch languages constantly, usually mid-sentence and usually on exactly the technical words you most want transcribed. This page is pinned to Hebrew and will render English words phonetically. The app handles the mix properly.
